"If you can not do great things, do small things in a great way" -Napoleon Hill
My favorite quote of all time!

Quotes. They’re all over Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter these days. It’s a never ending stream of wisdom and inspiration scrolling by on my feeds. And yes, I’ve been known to share my fair share of quotables too.

But recently I noticed that I’ve become slightly annoyed by all the quotes I see on social media. It’s quote-overload for sure, but is this really something to be annoyed by?

Probably not. So I had to ask myself why I was annoyed anyway…

Robert Benchley quote about writing
Not a Writer? Don’t Let That Stop You From Blogging

One of the things I love most about attending conferences like Canadian Digital Dealer or hanging out in online automotive digital marketing communities is that I get to talk to all kinds of awesome people who do what I do.

We tend to share the same challenges in our jobs and they’re great venues for like minded people to connect. We can teach each other and learn from each other all at the same time.

The questions that I’m asked about most often about by my peers usually has to do with blogging in the car dealership. It’s clearly something I’m passionate about, take great pride in doing and am always happy to talk about.

"If everything seems under control, you're not going fast enough." Mario Andretti
“If everything seems under control, you’re not going fast enough.” Mario Andretti

When I ran across this quote from Mario Andretti this morning, my plan was to simply share it socially figuring someone out there might get a dash of motivation from it.

However as I was putting together the image you see above, I really started think about the words in the quote and what they mean to me.

It turns out I can totally relate to it, because it speaks to me on many different levels.

Erin Ryan is on the MarketPunch Podcast

Last night I had the pleasure of interviewing Erin Ryan, the Social Media Director at Wikimotive, for Episode 7 of the MarketPunch Podcast.

I must say, talking to Erin was a delight and I was quite surprised to look up at the clock to see that an entire hour had passed during our conversation.

I’m very excited to launch this episode on Friday, April 18th, and I hope you have the chance to give it a listen.

So what’s the deal with the pots on the heads? It’s a long story…let’s just say things got a little weird last night during the interview.

But don’t worry, Erin brings the goods when it comes to Social Media in and out of the dealership. There’s so much useful information shared in this episode, you’ll want to snag a pen and piece of paper (or open up Evernote) prior to listening to the podcast.

See you guys on Friday! 🙂

Oh, if you subscribe to the MarketPunch Podcast, Episode 7 will be there waiting for you when you wake up Friday morning.
